Nearly 10% of 3000 lakes in the Alps is located in Trentino. 297 bodies of water, mostly glacial, which found high plains, mountains, forests and pastures to the limit of glaciers.
The Lake Levico
Surrounded by green, Lake Levico recalls his conformation for a Nowegian fjord. Two bathing establishments, plus a free beach.
For greater protection of balance biological around Lake Levico from 1 May to 30 September, is absolutely prohibited navigating boats with internal combustion engine.
In the southern part of the lake there is the biotope "Canneto di Levico".
The Lake Caldonazzo
It is the largest lake entirely belonging to Trentino and measures 4.735 m long, 1.870 m. Wide and an average depth of 27 m.
On the lake there are many free beaches suitable for smaller establishments equipped bathing and four charte clubs that organize races and competitions nationally and internationally.
it is allowed to use boats fitted with engine and power not exceeding 4 Hp.
Other Lakes
Other lakes, more little but certainly not less enchanting, are Pond Prese (in the town of Roncegno, mt. 1.620), Lake Canzolino (Joint Pergine Valsugana, mt. 520) and Lake Madrano (Joint Pergine Valsugana, mt. 547).
